Growth Habits: Evergreen tree, fast growing to 30 to 50 feet tall and wide (9-15 m) with a rounded shape; smooth, gray bark; gray green to bluish green, glaucous, bipinnate, fern like leaves, rachis (main leaf stem) 0.4 to 1.2 inches long (1-3 cm) with 8 to 20 pairs of pinnae, each with 25 to 40 pairs of leaflets (pinnules) 0.20 to 0.28 inch long (5-7 mm)

Watering Needs: Low water, needs good drainage

Propagation: Seeds (better results with hot water treatment), heeled semi-hardwood cuttings in summer


Blooming Habits:
Large clusters of very fragrant, small golden yellow flower balls, 0.25 inch in diameter (6 mm), each with 20 to 25 actual flowers. The flower peduncles are pubescent. The Acacia dealbata blooms in late winter to early spring.

Fruiting Habits:
Dry, brown, straight or slightly curved, dehiscent pod, 2 to 3.6 inches long (5-9 cm), 0.32 to 0.5 inch broad (8-12 mm).
