Home Page | Acalypha is a very large genus of tropical Euphorbs shrubs (spurge family). Only a small number of species are encountered in nurseries, and they are houseplants, greenhouse plants, or grown as annuals in most of the country. The genus name "Acalypha" comes from the Greek name for "nettle".
They are propagated by cuttings in the fall.
