Growth Habits: Caudiciform vine, up to 15 feet tall (5 m), pyramidal caudex up to 5 feet tall (1.5 m) or more, 18 inches in diameter (45 cm), light green leaves with 7-9 leaflets, slightly succulent

The name 'Laza' comes from the Malagasy name for the plant.

Blooming Habits:
Brownish green flowers.

Fruiting Habits:
Spherical fruit, 0.5 inches in diameter (1.2 cm) with persistant style, black-purple when ripe.
