Blooming Habits:
Bell shaped cream flowers spotted inside are produced in masses in late spring. They are followed followed by brown pods containing the seeds. The seeds are covered of stiff hair that penetrate the skin like glochids (the prickly pears small spines). They should be handled with caution.
