Orbea is a genus of about 20 species of stapeliaceae from eastern and southern Africa. They are closely related to the genus Stapelia. As this genus they have large brown flowers with a carrion smell designed to attract the flies that are their main pollinators. These flowers come at the end of the summer.

The large brown flowers, coming in the fall, have a light carrion smell.
