Origin: USA (New Mexico, Arizona), Mexico (Sonora, Chihuahua), 3000 to 6000 feet elevation (900-1800 m)
Growth Habits: Evergreen perennial, 2 to 3 feet tall (60 to 90 cm.), 1 to 1.33 feet in spread (30 to 40 cm.), greyish green lanceolate leaves, up to 5 inches long (12.5 cm.) Attracts butterflies.
Flowers: Pink or red flowers, in early spring to late spring. Attracts hummingbirds.
Watering Needs: Little water, drought tolerant
Propagation: Seeds (don't cover the seeds)
