Sun Exposure: Full sun to part shade
Origin: California and northern Baja California, often in disturbed habitats from 600 to 6000 feet elevation (180-1800 m)
Growth Habits: Evergreen herbaceous perennial, 2 to 4 feet tall (60-120 cm); opposite, sessile, coarsely serrate to entire, smooth green or grayish green leaves
Watering Needs: Very low water, do not overwater, needs good drainage
Propagation: Seeds, cuttings in late summer, division
Blooming Habits:
Lavender blue to purple, or white, flowers in April-June.
