Propagation: Propagate by crown division or by root cuttingd in spring. The plant is agresively spreading by underground rhizomes. Can be invasive.

'Chameleon' is the variegated variety generally encountered.
The species epithet 'cordata' comes from the Latin for "heart shaped", and refers to the cordate shape of the leaf bases.
