Growth Habits: Evergreen shrub, 5 to 14 feet tall and wide (1.5-4 m); rigid spiny branchlets; roundish leathery leaves, mostly glabrous, 0.7 to 1.6 inch long and wide (1.8-4 cm)

Watering Needs: Little water to no water once established


Fruiting Habits:
The berries of R. ilicifolia are bright red, up to 0.3 inch in diameter (8 mm).
