Origin: Baja California to southern Oregon, coastal mountains.
Growth Habits: Perennial, 3 to 5 feet tall (0.9 to 1.5 m.), 1 to 1.5 feet in spread (30 to 45 cm.), green leaves
Flowers: Light yellow or red flowers, in early summer, late summer to early fall
Watering Needs: Moderate water to regular water, needs good drainage
Used extensively in hybrid delphinium creation, it attracts hummingbirds.
Culture:
Leave 2 or 3 shoots in the spring. Cut the flower stems after they finish blooming. By careful trimming, you might be able to get a second set of flowers in autumn.
