Growth Habits: Perennial grass, fast growing up to 3 to 6 feet tall (90-180 cm); fine textured foliage that reminds of a bamboo
Watering Needs: Grows much better with summer water, tolerates low water
Propagation: Spreads slowly from underground rhizome, division, seeds
A tea made with its leaves is supposed to have medicinal properties.
