Culture:
Perennial rye grass used the preferred way to overseed lawns in winter. Its color is nicer than the annual grass, the blades are thinner, with a denser coverage. Selected varieties also grow better with some shade than the annual rye. 'Commander', 'Dimension', 'Manhattan II', 'Palmer', 'Pennant', 'Pick 715', 'Riviera', 'Saturn', 'SR-4000', and 'SR-4100' are recommended varieties.
