Origin: Chihuahuan Desert (Arizona, New Mexico, Texas), northern Mexico, at 1000 to 4500 feet elevation (300-1400 m)

Growth Habits: Herbaceous annual or short-lived perennial, up to 12 inches tall and wide (30 cm)

Propagation: Seeds


Blooming Habits:
Purple flowers in early spring to mid-summer
