Growth Habits: Evergreen to semi-evergreen tree, fast growing to 30 to 40 feet tall (9-12 m) or more, 20 to 30 feet in spread (6-9 m); bark grey and smooth when young, turning flaky dark brown when mature; even-pinnate compound leaves, generally about 5 to 6 inches long (12-15 cm) with 2-4 pairs of dark green, glabrous, asymmetrical ovate-lanceolate leaflets, 2 to 2.4 inches long (5-6 cm), 0.8 to 1.2 inches wide (2-3 cm)

Watering Needs: Moderate water, drought resistant


Blooming Habits:
Fragrant, small, white unisexual flowers, in slender panicles, 3 to 6 inches long (8-15 cm).

Fruiting Habits:
Erect egg-shaped dehiscent 5-celled capsule, 2 to 4 inches long (5-10 cm), 1.2 to 2.4 inches in diameter (3-6 cm). There are usually about 35-45 chestnut brown winged seeds per fruit.
