The rhizome can be overwintered in a frost free place for areas that are colder than zone 10. It is a popular plant for hanging baskets. The rhizome should be planted in the spring when the temperature excede 60°F (15°C), in light shade.
Blooming Habits:
Blue, white, or pink tubular flowers, 2.5 inches long and across (6.2 cm), in summer.
