Propagation: Seed or occasionally cutting, layering, grafting/budding

  • by hardwood stem tip cuttings, in early summer. Apply IBA Quick Dip 12000 PPM. Use intermittent mist.
  • by air layers, in spring. remove a ring of bark.
  • by cleft grafts, in early spring.
  • by seeds, in spring. Germinates at 60-70 degrees F. The seeds can be harvested in early autumn. The seeds need stratification. The usual germination temperature is 60-70 degrees F.
