Watering Needs: Occasional deep watering, needs good drainage, little or no water in winter
Propagation: Easy from cuttings
The species is named after William Sykes, a New Zealand botanist.
Blooming Habits:
Red flowers, 2 inches long (5 cm), in dense clusters, about 3.5 inches long (9 cm), in early spring, generally before or as the new leaves start unfolding.
Fruiting Habits:
This hybrid is sterile and doesn't form pods.
