Home Page | Tylecodon is a genus of over 40 African species that used to belong to the genus Cotyledon. Tylecodon is distinguished from Cotyledon by its deciduous leaves which are spirally arranged as well as some flower features. Tylecodon contains mostly geophytes and other caudiciform species, they range from 1-inch tall subshrubs (2.5 cm) to shrubs over 6 feet tall (2 m). The name Tylecodon is an anagram of Cotyledon
