Synonym: Haageocereus torataensis
Family: Cactaceae

Origin: Peru (Moquega: Torata)

Type: Columnar cactus, branching at the base, up to 10 feet tall (3 m.)

Stem: 2 to 3.2 inches wide (5 to 8 cm.),, greyish-green

Ribs: 11 to 15 ribs, 0.32 inches high (8 mm.)

Central spines: 4 to 8, 0.28 to 2 inches long (0.7 to 5 cm.), reddish brown

Radial spines: 10 to 14, 0.16 to 0.4 inches long (4 to 10 mm.), not really distinguishable from central spines
