Ribs: 15 to 18 ribs, 0.4 inches high (10 mm.)
Central spines: 1 to 2
Radial spines: Hair-like in the flowering area of the stem.
Flowers: Nocturnal white or pink flowers, up to 4 inches long (10 cm.)
