Growth Habits: Tree like cactus, up to 25 feet tall (7.5 m); trunk 40 inches tall (1 m) or more; around 8 prominent ribs; large areoles, 0.4 to 0.6 in. apart (1-1.5 cm); at most 6 spines, 1 longer, up to 1.2 in. long (3 cm).
