Origin: Mexico (Nuevo León, Coahuila)

Growth Habits: Usually solitary, globose cactus, up to 4 inches tall (10 cm), 3.2 inches in diameter (8 cm); woolly apex; 13 to 21 tubercled ribs; 1 central spine, up to 1.2 inches long (3 cm); 12 radials, radiating horizontally.

Blooming Habits:
Magenta flowers with lighter edges of petals, in summer, up to 0.7 inches in diameter (2 cm), 0.8 to 1 inch long (2-2.5 cm).
