Growth Habits: Forms large clumps, stems up to 20 inches long (50 cm), 3 inches in diameter (8 cm), 11 to 14 ribs; 5 to 7 unequal central spines, up to 4 inches long (10 cm); 18 to 20 radials, 0.6 inch long (1.5 cm)

Propagation: Branches freely from the base


Blooming Habits:
Purple flowers, up to 2.8 inches in diameter (7 cm).
