Origin: Brazil (Espirito Santo and Minas Gerais) - subsp. uebelmanniorum was originally described from Espiritu Santo

Growth Habits: Columnar cactus, up to 11 feet tall (3.5 m), stems 3.6 inches (9 cm) in diameter; 20 to 25 ribs; offsetting ; 1 central spine, 0.24 inch (0.6 cm) long; 5 radial spines, 0.4 inch (1 cm) long;


Blooming Habits:
White flowers 1 inch long (2.5 cm), 0.6 inch (1.5 cm) in diameter; fruit red
