Growth Habits: Shrubby, basally branching, stems up to 6 feet tall (2 m), 1.6 inches (4 cm) in diameter; 5 to 7 ribs; central spines 7 to 9, 0.8 to 1.2 inches (2 to 3 cm); radial spines 10 to 14, 0.4 inches long (1 cm)

Cipocereus laniflorus is endangered in the wild with only a few hundred wild specimens known

Blooming Habits:
Flowers 2.8 inches (7 cm) in length, 1.4 inches (3.5 cm) in diameter, white; fruit blue; seeds brown
