Growth Habits: Short columnar plants, densely clumping from the base; stems up to 2 feet long (60 cm), 2 inches in diameter (5 cm); 14-22 ribs; 40 or more spines, 1 inch long (2.5 cm)


Blooming Habits:
DIurnal white flowers from the side of the stems, 4 inches long (10 cm), 2 inches in diameter (5 cm)
