Origin: Chihuahan desert, from Texas to Arizona into northern Mexico

Growth Habits: Evergreen shrub, 3 to 6.67 feet tall (0.9 to 2 m.), greyish green or bluish green palmate leaves, 2 to 4 inches long (5 to 10 cm.)

Flowers: Yellow scented flowers, up to 0.504 inches wide (12.6 mm.), in late winter to early spring

Fruit: Edible red berry

Watering Needs: Little water, drought tolerant
