Growth Habits: Perennial, upright, to 40 inches tall (80 cm), 2 feet spread (60 cm)

Watering Needs: Moderate water, well drained soil. Somewhat drought resistant.

Propagation: Division in fall, seeds in spring

Yarrow cultivars include:
- Apfelbluete: deep pink
- Cerise Queen: pale cherry red
- Fanal: bright red
- Paprika: red-orange, fading as the flowers age
- Red Beauty: pinkish red flowers with silver leaves
The fern-like leaves of the achillea are pungent.

Blooming Habits:
The yarrow has tiny flowers in flat heads that come in summer. They dry well for floral arrangements.

Culture:
The Milfoil does better in average to poor soil. Fertilize in spring. Divide and replant every couple of years, in early spring or autumn.
