Growth Habits: Mat forming, on fleshy roots, leaves up to 0.4 inches in diameter (1 cm)

The genus name "Trichodiadema" means "threaded crown". The species name "stellatum" comes from the Latin for "starry".

Blooming Habits:
Flowers violet-red, up to 1.2 inches in diameter (3 cm)
