Yes, I grew bearded iris's in North Scottsdale for many years in a raised, irrigated flower bed. I am currently growing them in South Scottsdale in flower beds that are also on emitters (watering system). I've always purchased my iris's from Schreiner's in Oregon. Every few years I separate them (as these rhizones really multiply) and give them to my friends. Have fun!
