The Nierembergia forms a dense mat of rich purple or white, cup shaped flowers. It is heat and drought resistant, and will bloom all the summer in Phoenix if watered regularly. It is a good plant for a piece of bad soil, under a tree or other difficult situations.
Blooming Habits:
The Nierembergia blooms pretty much all year in Phoenix, with more flowers in March to October. The paper-like flowers are either purple or white.

Sow indoor at 70 to 85°F (21 to 29°C) or sow in place. Plant 10 week seedlings 6 inches apart (15 cm).
