Watering Needs: Little to moderate water when established, becomes chlorotic if not watered properly, or with poor drainage, prefers a slightly acidic soil

Propagation: Semi-hardwood cuttings in late summer

Attractive to hummingbirds.

Cultural Practices:
Prune in the fall.

Blooming Habits:
Red flowers in mid-spring, and occasionally during the rest of the year.
