Growth Habits: Columnar cactus, basally clumping, up to 13 feet tall (4 m), 4 inches in diameter (10 cm); 20-28 rib; 2 or 3 straw colored central spines; many radials; stem sometimes obscured by matted yellowish wool

Watering Needs: Regular water year around

Propagation: Seeds or cuttings

Blooming Habits:
Lateral white wool cephalium, up to 30 inches tall (75 cm). Nocturnal white flowers, up to 2.4 inches long (6 cm)
