Growth Habits: Leaf succulent, with stone shaped leaves

Watering Needs: Water sparingly

The monotypic genus Lapidaria used to be included in Argyroderma. They are a group of stemless succulents from the Namaqualand in South Africa.

Cultural Practices:
The cultivation is similar to the Dinteranthus: After they bloom, a new pair of leaves develop, used the moisture from the older pair of leaves to grow. The plants should not be watered until the old pair of leaves is totally shriveled.

Blooming Habits:
The Lapidaria margaretae has 2-inch wide yellow flowers in the fall and winter.
