Leaf: Palmate, Glaucous blue green. Very stiff, ending in spines, 12-18 inches in diameter.
Trunk: clustering covered with spines, remnants of the leaf sheaths, 9-10 inches in diameter (25 cm).
Flower: Flower stalk coming from among the leaves, much longer than the leaves.
Fruit: 0.75 inch in diameter(2 cm). round.
Seed: 0.5 inch in diameter (1.2 cm). round.
